Luca Anselmi (also known as Luca EW) is an Italian DJ who spins mostly EBM/industrial but also trance, techno and other styles of electronic dance music. Listed among world’s finest on www.thedjlist.com, Luca has been practically everywhere on the scene: club parties, festivals, resident club nights, castle parties, prides – he has done them all, in Italy but also in Austria, Germany, Greece, Slovenia, Switzerland, and now Romania – on January 29, 2011.
Luca’s penchant for electronica showed its first signs in the mid-90’s. It further fashioned and refined until the 2000’s, when he founded ElectroWorld, one of the best known Italian forums/webzines of the alternative electronic scene. Happy with the result he co-founded Italian Body Music, a series of free compilations that promote Italian EBM/industrial artists (XP8, Adam, Bahntier, Blank, Alien Vampires and many more). Probably the most relevant DJ for the Italian scene, Luca Anselmi takes his mission seriously: he works his sets cautiously but passionately, and makes sure the audience never leaves his music’s perimeter.
Luca’s score of artists he mixed for (Alien Vampires, Amduscia, And One, Combichrist, Das Ich, De/Vision, Dupont, Faderhead, Feindflug, Front 242, Frozen Autumn, Grendel, Kirlian Camera, Noisuf-X, SAM, Tyske Ludder) shows his interest and passion for quality industrial music, fascinating EBM and dance-tested electronica.
