“Really was a pleasure for us to play for the Romanian public!!!”

1. Why “The Eternal Fall”? What does it mean? Does it have a special meaning for you?

 

Ok, “The Eternal Fall” has two senses, first is the special feeling that autumn transmits, and by the other hand, the eternal fall that represents life, we are falling and returning to walk all our life, we are trying to find our way and to know ourselves in this strange time that we are on the Earth.

2. What musical style would you use to define your work?

 

Music for feel, we can’t tell what kind of music we are doing in general terms, we use the music to take out our feelings.

3. What bands have influenced you? Do you have idols?

 

No Idols for sure, he-he. We are influenced by The Cure, Bauhaus, Sopor Aeternus, Faith and the Muse, Joy Division and lots of other bands.

4. We understand that Spain has already 4-5 darkwave bands. In your opinion, what makes you different? Why should people like you the most?

 

In Spain are like you say 4 or 5 bands in "gothic" style but you know, inside the gothic style there are thousand different kinds of music. We are the only band that has this sound in Spain, the other bands are doing more fast music... our music is to hear and feel and the rest of the bands are more powerful. They are very good bands, from Quidam, Naugthy Zombies, Eyaculación PostMortem, La peste negra, all this bands are very good friends of us and we have played with them lots of times...but we are in another wave...you know?

5. What do you think about playback? Would you do it for a considerable sum of money?

 

¿playback? you mean about the music we play on stage I think...I explain it to you, it’s very difficult to find people who want to play music that is composed by other people, the people want to create by themselves  and this is not possible with a band that is playing its own songs from a long time. On stage we play a pre-recorded base with the drums, the keyboards and a guitar, Sol plays the guitar and sings and David plays the bass. That is no playback...the money is not important for us, we just want to play.

6. Lately you had a serious number of concerts. Do you feel tired at all? What is your secret, how do you manage to always stay fresh?

 

He-he, we don’t have all the gigs we want, we want to play all the week 7 times per week but that is not possible at this moment...maybe in the future...he-he-he, we don’t have a secret, it’s pure passion that makes us be ready, we are always fresh!!! Ha-ha-ha

7. When you’re on tour, what do you miss the most?

 

Ha-ha, when we are on tour we miss a lot the tour...ha-ha, we know the time to play will be done in just an hour or something like this, the most we miss is...the past before the future comes. By other hand we miss our family too, but they are happy to see us playing.

8. You have already released your 5th album. How did fans react to this new material? And why did you choose for it to have 18 tracks, an unusual large number?

 

The fans...I think they like very much this new album, we are at the top list of a vote room to decide what is the best album of the 2007 here, in Spain, at one of the best websites of the gothic scene and we are glad to see that, and we hope the next album will be better than The Ninth Sphere!!!

The 18 tracks...he-he-he, 1+8 = 9 (The ninth Sphere); 18 is the tarot card that represents the hidden enemy, a part that we all have inside us...he-he-he.. and 18 is the ninth sphere...is difficult to explain, he-he-he. The album is full of symbols , some tracks have a repetition of 9 notes all the time and lots of the lyrics are speaking about the way to find ourselves...

9. After your concert in Bucharest, Romania, what can you say about the Romanian gothic public compared to the Spanish gothic public?

 

He-he, different kind of people but is more or less the same, all the people are very nice, it was very special to us to find a special care with the Romanian people; was very nice and we hope to return very soon, we miss you a lot!!!!


10. People usually see you perform on stage, they see you as artists. But how are Sol and David in everyday life? Is there any resemblance between your public life and your private life?

 

oO, he-he, when we are playing it’s like you say, but we try all the time to speak with all the people after the gig, we don’t go to backstage after the gig, we keep contact with all the people and we keep in touch we lots of people from our gigs, really we’ve found very good friends all the time after our gigs.

11. Do you have plans for a video material (DVD)?

 

We have more or less 13 videos and lots of live materials, maybe in the future we can release a DVD with some gigs, but just when the quality will be ok. About the video clips we have released all at our special edition with two CDs of The Ninth Sphere, but this edition is done...he-he

12. Any future plans?

Yes, of course, we have lots of plans but at the moment it is secret...

13. One last question: would you like to say something to the Romanian public?

 

Yes!!! Thank you very much for your care, was really special for us to play for you and we hope to see you very soon.
